The genesis of my work is inevitably linked to my growth. I focus on the most intimate part of the human being: intuition, perception, mystery… I try to cling to the truth that lives in each of us, sometimes hidden, outside the somatic.
For this I use the portrait, the landscape, the human being and his illusion. Images I want to talk about, matter, its behaviour, its density, opacity or transparency, load and plastic contributions that put a cloak of reading around my work.
To place a head, a face or a body is to evoke the history that each person has, his memories, the things that condition his life, due to a necessity that is often not innate to us. These figures are the ones who wrestle between a definition and a meaning of what they are, alongside what they think they are, in their exercise of letting go and understanding
I want to tell my reflections through the image of other people, from different places, from different times, to surprise with the attributes that are repeated and shared.
Our gaze activates the peculiarities that nature has as creation, as revelation. The awareness of our origin, that we are more than matter, allows us a clear vision to understand the meaning of things.
